Frequently Asked Questions

Will everything I say be kept private?

In the counselling space, we will work with confidentiality. This means that everything shared will be kept between us.

However, there are some situations where you may be at risk to yourself or someone else, in which case I am a required by law to notify an authority in order to keep everybody safe. This is often a rare occasion though and where possible, this will be discussed with you.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no set amount of sessions that is advised, and I will be led by you as to how many sessions you would like. I offer open ended counselling so that you can have the choice, and I offer weekly or fortnightly sessions, so that you can choose the frequency.

How long will I have to wait for a session?

I aim to book in our introductory call within 3 days from your initial enquiry. If you'd like to continue with sessions following this, we can then find a weekly or fortnightly regular slot. If you have specific availability, then please let me know this in your enquiry.

Can I have someone with me?

This is often the question asked if you're feeling nervous about starting counselling. Having someone else with you could stop you from speaking openly and my aim is to create a space for you to speak about anything and have a focused space on you.
